The dark elven dagger is made of wood, and appears as a black runed dagger when unidentified; in SpliceHack, its glyph is also colored black rather than the default brown for wood.

Generation

Drow characters start the game with knowledge of the dark elven dagger, and any drow character in a role that starts the game with one or more daggers will receive the same amount of dark elven daggers.

Upgrading a great dagger has a 12 chance of producing a dark elven dagger.
